Come enjoy Halloween-time with us in the real town of Sleepy Hollow.
“The dominant spirit, however, that haunts this enchanted region, and seems to be commander-in-chief of all the powers of the air, is the apparition of a figure on horseback, without a head.”
-Washington Irving 1819
Join us around our favorite local haunts in Sleepy Hollow this October! This Halloween season was a little more laid back and low key filming wise, so we hope you enjoy the chatty video talking about all the amazing things we got to be apart of this year!
Watch more Sleepy Hollow videos on our Youtube Channel.
To keep up to date with activities in the hollow we always check the official Sleepy Hollow tourism website & as well as our friends at Tarryhollow Town to see all you can do in the area!
We aren’t ones for horror events so the things we do during the Halloween season are usually more cozy spooky!
A trip to Sleepy Hollow Cemetery is a must every October. Pro tip: If you enter through this gateway you can pull your car over for a quick pick of the sign and harvest display.
Washington Irving’s grave decorated for fall
Ye Old Dutch Church – We saw a silent film inside the church with live organ music accompaniment. The movie was actually filmed in Sleepy Hollow, so it was a real delight to recognize some of the landmarks.
Headless Horseman Bridge
The official Disney fan club (D23) was apart of the 1st Sleepy Hollow Film Festival. They had a special screening of Disney’s Hollow-een Treat with special guest, Bret Iwan, the official voice of Mickey Mouse!
Jonas did a jack-o’-lantern and t-shirt design for our favorite restaurant, Horsefeathers, for their 2019 Halloween season!
P.S. If you’re not ready to let go of the Halloween feelings yet either than you’re welcome to join us inside our home for “Fika-time at Cobweb Cottage”, a new monthly series where we have a new recipe for you and try different teas and coffees. For November we discuss the transition from fall to winter; right after Halloween when the time changes and things get colder and darker. Join us for a cozy chat ✨☕✨
