HAPPY COTTAGECORE DECOR | The Vintage Summer Time

Cottagecore Decor - Vintage Summer Decor

Stress-free summer days are the best. With a happy summer decor, you can achieve the right cottagecore vibe that brings peacefulness out of your home. Here are our favorite vintage decorations for the festive summer days.

Since we, as an international couple, celebrate both our country’s national days, (Sweden and USA’s 4th of July) we like to reflect it in our summer decor. We love to mix it with a fusion of stars & stripes with Scandinavian folk designs which all lend to a similar red, white, and blue color palette.

Our favorite cottagecore decorations comes through our love for second-hand thrifting.

Since we try our best to live pretty minimal and mindful, our decorations aren’t too different than in previous years. However, with a little rearranging and some second-hand thrifting, we make it feel fresh yet classic at the same time. You don’t have to buy brand-new decorations since the used look adds to the vintage vibe.

Old books are a fun way to decorate with. If you want a “woodsy” theme, simply use nature books in your favorite color.

Love the vibe you create and the way you combine your heritages. The Swedish style is very similar to the Norwegian style with the painted items and the folk dancers. I am half Norwegian, and my mother had an outfit that was handmade in Norway that my sister and I got to try on when we were younger (it was very delicate, so no playing in it!). It looked very much like the girls’ outfits in your table runners. And my grandmother would bring home painted pieces similar to yours when she visited family in Norway. Hope you both have a lovely day!

How nice to hear about your Norwegian history. I understand that the dress was special. I would personally love to own one like that myself one day. Both Sweden and Norway are filled with beautiful handcraft like that. 🙂 Have a great day you as well Kim!

Splendidly lovely summertime decor. The framed sheet music – starring none other than a cottage related song (so perfect for you two!) is a really wonderful idea. I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled now for something witchy and/or Halloween related on that front. TY for the fab inspiration.

Big hugs & the happiest of Independence Day week wishes!
