NATURAL DYED EGGS
Colored eggs are a very old tradition that many of us grew up with. There are many ways you can do it, however, we found it extra special to use natural colors. Red Cabbage, Yellow Onion skin, and Turmeric, all create some really nice colors. Before you soak the eggs in the different color mixes, add an extra touch of fun by pressing a flower, or herbs directly on the egg as you wrap them in old nylon stockings. This will create beautiful patterns that make it look even more natural and old-fashioned. Tip: Rub some olive oil to give the eggs a shiny finish
EGG HUNT
Egg hunts can be as easy as you want them to be and they do not have to be filled with sweets, even though most of us wouldn’t mind. We encourage you to never stop enjoying a good old egg hunt, even if you are an adult. You can simply never grow out of the fun. Appreciated gift ideas for a mature audience could be, seed packets or different tea bags. If you are having a hard time finding things for all the eggs, handwritten notes with encouraging compliments or homemade gift certificates are always a favorite too.
Don’t forget to also use real eggs for a lovely baked treat. It can serve as a happy surprise to gather around after the egg hunt is over. (Recipe Here)
EASTER BONNET
Easter Bonnets were traditionally worn by women and young girls in celebration of springtime. The colorful hats really stood out in contrast to the men’s dark suits and headwear. This tradition may have inspired Irving Berlin to write the beloved music for the film, Easter Parade (Released in 1948).
As far as today, let the creativity flow. Get colorful and bold. Let everyone see that your hat is a celebration of the bright and happy springtime.
