1. The Secret Garden (1993) or The Secret Garden (2020)

“When a young girl is sent to live with her uncle after the death of her parents, his manner and sorrow leave her feeling bitterly alone. Neglected once again, she begins exploring the estate and discovers a garden that has become hidden and, aided by one of the servant’s boys, begins restoring it to its former glory.”

It does not matter if you choose to watch the 90s version before the new adaptation from 2020 or vice versa, we believe you’ll enjoy them both. However, the new version has a little bit different storytelling than the original book.

Instead, she continues to write about and draw the animals she has adored since childhood. Her early attempts to find a publisher for her children’s stories are unsuccessful, but an offer from a small firm will turn her into a literary phenomenon.”

Also, if you want to get to know more about the characters of Beatrix Potter, try “The Tales of Beatrix Potter” a 1971 ballet film based on her beloved stories.

Milne and his family soon become swept up in the instant success of the books, while the enchanting tales bring hope and comfort to the rest of postwar England.”

We also recommend Disney’s spin on a grown-up Christopher, a movie called Christopher Robin.

Wonderful list! Goodbye Christopher Robin is extra special for me as I live in the county (Sussex) where AA Milne lived and got his inspiration! I also think Practical magic is good for . It always pops up on Halloween lists for obvious reasons but it’s set in Summer.

Nice list! I would add a children’s series that I got for my kids years ago but I love it: The World Of Peter Rabbit & Friends https://youtu.be/wtWWxw05Rzk
The introduction to each episode is live action which then flows right into the animation. It is so soothing and lovely for a chilly, rainy spring day!
