Hello dearies! Have you seen “Mary Poppins Returns” yet?! Jonas & I have seen it 3 times already… and we CAN’T GET ENOUGH!!! The first time was on New Year’s day and I don’t think it could have been a more perfect fit to kick off 2019. Not only is the film full of 1930’s swoon-worthy fashion but brimming with life lessons thanks to our favorite magical nanny (played practically perfect by Emily Blunt). Along side my Mary Poppins Returns inspired outfit I wanted to share my favorite quotes from the film that fill my heart with hope and wonder just like the original movie and books have for so many years.

There’s been many times through our married life that impossible dreams have come true, why shouldn’t we keep believing the rest of them can as well?

Sometimes, it’s all in the way you look at things and this year I’m going to try harder to see things from a different point of view.

In this every changing word it can sometimes be scary and hard to keep up, especially if you’re set in your ways, why not try something new and turn along with it?

It’s so easy to get stuck in the past and thinking about the way things were and before you know it, your present is happening now and moving along without you. I’m going to focus on being more mindful of my time and planning for the future.

The whole imagery of the lamp lighters symbolizing hope and light is so incredibly meaningful for me, especially during dark times as I deal with seasonal affective disorder. There’s always a way out of the fog if you follow your inner light.

YES! I loved the dress she wears in the scenes when they travel to help the carriage. I have some pink and white striped fabric as well as a lovely maroon piece that are just asking to become that dress! I am going to go see it again soon.

Mary Poppins forever!!! I love all those quotes and your comments about them, I kept paying attention to lovely thoughts like those the whole movie. There are so many of them there, it’s incredible! That film can really lift your spirit. Love your outfit, that coat is so beautiful!
