INKLING LITERARY MAGAZINE | We’re On The Cover!

Hello dearies! Do you remember a few months ago when we took a trip to The Storyteller’s Cottage? After our write up of the children’s book publishing class we attended and wrote about, the lovely proprietor of this whimsical event space, invited us to come back for a photo shoot that would be in their literary magazine. Little did we know as we prepared our outfits accordingly to try and match the different magically themed rooms of this fairy tale cottage, that we would end up on the cover of the “Inkling” summer issue! Here it is, what do you think!? We couldn’t be more thrilled with this collaboration and can’t believe this is the second magazine cover we’ve been on in less than a year.

The magazine is a delight to read and visually stunning, blending perfectly our love of all things enchanting with a touch of bygone eras. We were asked to write a piece about how we created a community of kindred spirits around our lifestyle blog. So we dedicate this to YOU, our lovely virtual “pen pals”!

Tea in the Jane Austin room

Here’s a favorite quotes that fits perfectly alongside the stunning photos that art director, Heather Murray, captured of us (though there is more in the actual article) throughout the cottage. We really felt like we belonged there, what a magical experience!

Two for tea in the Jules Verne room

“…fellowship: finding togetherness along the journey. Holding a hot teapot too long might burn your hands, but passing it along creates a wonderful tea party. “

Tales and tea
Feeling like time travelers

“The Storytellers Cottage” is a place that feels like an old friend that opens up the doors to a magical portal where the only limit is our imagination and friendships are waiting to be made.”

Just a couple of Hufflepuffs

Thank you so much Storyteller’s Cottage for inviting us to be apart of the summer issue of Inkling! As of right now it’s only a virtual version (but we’ve heard rumors it might be available as a printed version!) Even if you don’t live in the Northeast this literary magazine is a fantastic resource aspiring for writers and also a delightful read for all sorts of poetry and literary lovers. If you ever do find yourself in Simsbury Connecticut do make time for a pop in for tea or book a mystery escape room experience.

Bye For Now,
